Best Triathlon Running Shoes

Triathlons are racing events which have a running part, swimming and a biking one. They are quite interesting and attract many participants. One thing however, you should get right before going for such an even is having the right triathlon running shoes. They will boost your running leg and ensure you remain in your best form possible to be able to participate in the other two evens. There are many features one should look for when choosing shoes to be used during the triathlon running leg.

First, the triathlon running shoes should have little weight and be very flexible just like any other shoes used for running. Other than that, the shoes should not be having laces since the laces will take time to remove them or tie them during transitions. Drawstring systems are common for these types of shoes as they are quick and very easy systems to use. Drawstring systems are tightened by simply pulling at the drawstring ends and this will do away with the time used in tying up laces.

Owing to the need to save time, most of the triathlon running shoes are used without socks on, as socks will require sometime to put them on. This means that the shoes should fit snugly when one does not have socks on. When purchasing these shoes, test them without your socks and ensure that they are well fitting so that they do not cause blisters or hot spots while you are racing. To ensure comfort since you will be wearing only the shoes, they should be well cushioned and well suited to the type of terrain you will be running on. Good shoes for the triathlon should have run-off channels or materials that will wick away moisture so that water from the swing leg is drained away thus avoiding blisters and hot spots.

Other than that, there are some personalized features that the triathlon running shoes need to posses to work efficiently. These features are depended on the specific triathlete participating in the race. One should look at the running gait he or she has and the leg type in respect to Pronation. Some people have neutral while others may be having overpronated or underpronated.
